Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial processes, including month-end closings, account reconciliations, and maintaining fixed asset records. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to accurate financial reporting and work closely with auditors during financial statement reviews. Responsibilities: • Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy during month-end closings. • Maintain and update fixed asset ledgers, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Prepare and post journal entries to support monthly financial processes. • Record accruals and adjustments as part of the month-end period. • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide insights. • Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary financial documentation. • Contribute to the preparation and review of financial statements. • Support additional accounting tasks as assigned to meet team goals. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. • At least 2 years of experience in accounting with a focus on attention to detail. • Proficiency in accounting software and databases, with familiarity in NetSuite preferred. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organizational and time management abilities. • Ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
