Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Pataskala, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key financial processes, including accounts payable, invoice processing, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and have a solid understanding of revenue recognition principles. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable transactions, including inputting invoices and reconciling purchase orders. • Review and match purchase invoices to ensure accuracy and proper documentation. • Generate and issue invoices in a timely manner to support business operations. • Maintain precise financial records by preparing journal entries and updating the general ledger. • Ensure compliance with corporate tax and sales tax regulations through accurate reporting. • Collaborate with internal teams to support revenue recognition and matching processes. • Conduct thorough reviews of financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. • Prepare corporate tax returns and assist with tax-related documentation. • Monitor financial processes to ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards. • Provide support during audits and other financial reviews as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in processing accounts payable and generating invoices. • Strong knowledge of corporate and sales tax regulations. • Experience with journal entries and maintaining general ledger records. • Familiarity with revenue recognition principles and practices. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation. • Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
