Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a local beverage distribution company in Madison, WI. This role involves helping to guide and train a team of accounting staff, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and producing accurate financial reports. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting skills and experience to support organizational success. Responsibilities: • Help coordinate and train staff on daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards. • Monthly journal entries and the reconciliation of accounts. • Collaborate with the Controller and management to develop and implement financial strategies. • Monitor cash flow and oversee treasury functions to optimize financial health. • Conduct audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and external regulations. • Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting staff to foster growth and development. • Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Coordinate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
