Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy of financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in managing multiple tasks and have a strong understanding of accounting principles. Responsibilities: • Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support timely and reliable data. • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies. • Process wire transfers and ensure proper documentation and tracking. • Review and manage expense accounts for accuracy and compliance with policies. • Handle the processing and approval of expense reports submitted by employees. • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other required reports. • Collaborate with team members to support audits and address financial inquiries. • Monitor and maintain accounting systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts. • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and wire transfer procedures. • Familiarity with managing expense accounts and processing expense reports. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and external parties. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
