Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant position assists in all accounting activities for the Hastings, NE operations, including compliance, daily GL maintenance tasks, month end closing procedures, and analysis of monthly results. The position requires a working relationship with different functional areas to ensure an in depth understanding of the financial results.
Responsibilities: The candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of GAAP accounting as well as data management and financial analysis skills. Ensure the production of timely, accurate and relevant financial reports to plant management in order to facilitate understanding and analysis of the business and business opportunities Ensure that accounting practices are in compliance with all relevant accounting standards, and company values and practicesSeek/participate in continuous process improvementsAssist in annual physical inventory process and related reconciliationPerform the monthly accounting close process and journal entry postingsSupport the senior GL and senior cost accountants with ad hoc analysis of results, budgets, and forecasts with focus on P&L performance.Participate in month end closing procedures including, but not limited to, accurate and timely completion and posting of closing entries and month end reportsComplete daily GL maintenance tasks timely and accurately Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business recommended. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in financial management or in financial accounting.Manufacturing plant experience a plus

Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $ 44,000-62,400
