Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, while contributing to compliance with legal standards. Your expertise will help drive efficient accounting practices and support overall financial operations. Responsibilities: • Review financial statements to ensure compliance with legal standards and accuracy. • Prepare and submit tax returns in accordance with regulatory requirements. • Record financial transactions and data into company accounting systems. • Audit account books to assess efficiency and identify discrepancies. • Maintain and update financial records to ensure they are current and organized. • Provide recommendations for cost-saving strategies and revenue enhancement. • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to verify account balances. • Compile necessary documentation to support external audits. Requirements • At least 1 year of accounting experience in a setting that requires attention to detail. • Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and legal compliance. • Proficiency in handling month-end close processes. • Familiarity with tax filing procedures and accounting software. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to analyze financial records and recommend improvements. • Experience with bank reconciliations and audit documentation preparation.
