Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in New York, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the company’s overall financial health. Responsibilities: • Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages to support senior leadership in decision-making. • Consolidate entity-level financials into parent accounts and manage overall financial consolidations. • Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts to align with organizational goals. • Conduct financial analysis and create variance reports with detailed commentary. • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing to maintain smooth operations. • Monitor and report on cash flow activities to optimize financial stability. • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all accounts are accurately balanced. • Assist with month-end closing procedures to ensure timely financial reporting. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance. • Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and journal entry preparation. • Experience with month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation. • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. • Expertise in Yardi software is highly preferred. • Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
