Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-driven Staff Accountant with 3-4 years of professional accounting experience to join our client's team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reports. Preferred experience with Sage or Lawson software is ideal but not mandatory; candidates with strong technical aptitude and general accounting software familiarity will also be considered! Key Responsibilities: + Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations. + Maintain and update general ledger and financial records. + Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. + Process accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed. + Support financial statement preparation and reporting. + Conduct variance analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting. + Collaborate with departments to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies. + Perform ad-hoc financial analyses as directed by management. Requirements Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in accounting or related roles. + Familiarity with Sage or Lawson software is preferred but not required; training will be provided for those with transferable skills. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP). + Solid understanding of GAAP principles. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. + Written and verbal communication skills to work effectively within teams and across departments.
