About the job

As a Staff Revenue Accountant, you’ll support our growing revenue accounting operations in a dynamic tech environment. In this role, you’ll help ensure revenue is recorded accurately and in line with ASC 606 by assisting with contract review, journal entries, deferral schedules, and the monthly close process. You’ll collaborate with experienced team members and cross-functional partners from Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Systems to support smooth and compliant revenue processes. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and ready to build a strong foundation in revenue accounting.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

Assist in evaluating the revenue accounting treatment for customer contracts, including components like variable consideration, usage-based pricing, and customer incentives, under ASC 606 Help enter and validate revenue-related data in revenue systems for new contracts and contract modifications Prepare journal entries, support account reconciliations, and assist in investigating variances as part of the monthly revenue close Assist in gathering documentation for SOX controls and external audit requests related to revenue accounting Follow established revenue accounting policies and procedures, and assist in organizing and maintaining related documentation, including technical memos and supporting files Provide general accounting support for new product launches or pricing changes, with a focus on accurate data entry and system alignment

*Required:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Finance/Accounting related function Proficient working knowledge of GAAP and operational month-end close processes Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Effective verbal and written communication skills

Desired:

Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or CPA certification 2+ years in public accounting or experience working at a fast growing company Experience with Oracle, Oracle RMCS or other large ERP systems Experience with Zuora and/or Zuora Revenue

Location

This role will be remote, and based in India. (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, Delhi)

Travel
