About the job

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in the daily accounting operations of a fast-paced tech environment. Responsibilities include supporting month-end close, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with internal and external financial reporting. This role will also contribute to revenue accounting and contract implementation processes, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth setting.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

Participate in the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Assist with revenue recognition procedures, including implementing contracts and deferral schedules into revenue management systems Reconcile and maintain deferred revenue schedules and related accounts Support preparation of monthly financial reports for various partners Assist in internal and external audits requests Help improve and document accounting processes and controls Assist with system enhancements and process automation projects related to revenue

*Required:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Finance/Accounting related function Proficient working knowledge of GAAP and operational month-end close processes Foundational understanding of ASC 606 Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Effective verbal and written communication skills

 

Desired:

Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or CPA certification 3+ years in public accounting or experience working at a fast growing company Experience with Oracle, Oracle RMCS or other large ERP systems Experience with Zuora and/or Zuora Revenue

 

Location

This role will be remote, and based in India. (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, Delhi)

Travel
