Staff Accountant, Hybrid Schedule
Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing payroll activities within a shared service operation across three operations under the parent company. This role ensures timely and accurate payments, payroll tax withholding, and compliance with internal controls, SOX controls, and legal requirements.

ResponsibilitiesManage timely and accurate payments for various types of employee compensation, including special processing of imputed income plans, award programs, relocation programs, TDI, and Workers' comp payments.Ensure compliance of all payroll processes and procedures with internal controls, SOX controls, and legal requirements.Coordinate the timely and accurate updating of employee payroll information between the HR/Benefits system and SAP Payroll.Manage the setup of all earnings and deduction codes, including their taxability in SAP Payroll.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably within a large company handling payroll for approximately 3000 employees.Proficiency in payroll processing and payroll tax.Working knowledge of SAP related to payroll processing.Strong data entry and accounting skills.Knowledge of federal and state withholding tax laws, workers' comp laws, temporary disability insurance laws, and unemployment laws.Additional Skills & QualificationsThorough understanding of the principles of accounting.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.05/hr.
