SSHE & Safe Driving Manager - KSA
**Main Purpose of Job:** Inspire and empower excellence in road safety across the entire organisation. Develop the market road safety strategy and guide its implementation through application of the Nestlé S&H Management System (NSMS) & Nestlé Environmental Management System (NEMS). Provide leadership across all functions to enable staff to realise their safety goals and create pride in their achievements. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Inspire Change: Create a compelling understanding of the Nestlé SH&E values and inspire stakeholders to excel in compliance & continuous improvement, leveraging MENA Foundations and Advanced safe driving Practices. Promote a behavioral approach to safe driving based on the Nestlé Leadership Framework. Lead and co-ordinate a comprehensive market-wide safe driving program, through a cross-functional approach, working closely with Countries, operations & sales functions at regional office and the entire Market. 2. Create Strategy: Identify Safe Driving priorities, current & future challenges, and opportunities for change at market level. Develop a holistic strategy and implementation plan, aligned with group priorities & objectives and with the overall OMP. Guide implementation and communication of the strategy across NW MENA. 3. Implement NSMS,NEMS & CARE : Guide implementation of the NSMS, NEMS, CARE and other Group SH&E Standards. Develop and continuously improve safe driving programs to deliver compliance and performance improvement. 4. Implement Comprehensive Safe Driving Program: Guide NW MENA in the implementation of Nestlé Group “Vehicles & Driving” standard (ST-18.049).• Review existing audit tools (amend or design if required) for standards ST-18.049 against best practice & with other countries.• Undertake gap analysis of NW MENA sites listed above against ST-18.049 and ST-18.115. • Provide advice and assistance in the implementation of ST-18.049 and ST-18.115 in NW MENA sites in the areas of:- Leadership and organization, in particular the identification, development and mentoring of driving safety champions at driver, supervisor and manager level- Hazard identification and risk assessment (including journey planning and driver/contractor recruitment and management)- Driver training program content , providers (internal trainers or third party providers), assessment and definition of competence.- Existing vehicle fleet audits and safe work assessments as well as participation in new vehicle Fit For Purpose (FFP) assessments.- The use of IVMS to monitor and improve driver performance, reduce fuel consumption and identify driving incident ‘hot-spots’ (by time, location, vehicle and driver type).- Post crash recovery through investigative, review root cause analysis and lessons learnt.- Programs will include on road fleets (light and heavy vehicles) and factory equipment (including mechanical lifting/forklift and safe loading and unloading of vehicles). 5. Develop Capability of Managers: Ensure training and coaching is provided to managers and team leaders to help them take ownership, and lead & manage Safe Driving within their area of responsibility. Provide personal coaching and support to MENA Management Team and other senior managers in the market. 6. Develop Safe Driving Networks: Develop & coordinate Safe Driving networks of professionals, champions and SMEs . Develop their functional and leadership competencies and ensure robust succession plans for key positions. 7. Audit & Review: Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed and the results used to drive further improvement. Promote effective communication of successes and learnings and recognition for strong performers and contributors. **Key Experiences:** 1. Took ownership of safe driving and drove change through personal leadership. 2. Analyzed complex problems to identify multiple root causes. 3. Influenced behavioural change in a unit/organisation. 4. Translated policies & standards into practical action plans. 5. Coached individuals and teams in different environments. 6. Held one or more management positions. 7. Worked in operational environment (eg. factory, DC). 8. Communicated effectively with different organisational levels. **Other Personal Qualities:** 1. Strong work ethic, self-starter, high personal integrity and commitment to quality. **Qualifications:** 1. Bachelor degree 2. 1st degree plus NEBOSH S&H International General Certificate. 3. SH&E Management: Full range of safe driving risks & impacts and their management. 4. Defensive Driving certificate 5. Languages: + Good level in English & Arabic (written & spoken) + Urdu language is a plus.
