You will blend deep Java/J2EE expertise with microservices, DevOps, and emerging agentic AI techniques—designing frameworks for autonomous agents, RAG-powered assistants, and LLM orchestration. This role partners closely with product teams to deliver robust, explainable, and user-centric services across industries. Key Responsibilities * Architect and develop microservices-based platforms on IBM Cloud (Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes) and hybrid landscapes * Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, IBM Cloud Schematics), monitoring (Grafana, Dynatrace) and automated incident management * Lead the integration of agentic AI capabilities: LangChain workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), LLM orchestration, and context-aware chatbots * Define governance models and onboarding flows that ensure transparency, security, and scalability for internal and external stakeholders * Mentor and guide cross-functional teams, conduct code and design reviews, and foster agile best practices (Scrum, Kanban) * Collaborate with product and research groups to embed AI ethics, explainability, and data privacy into every service **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Proven track record in transforming monolithic systems into cloud-native microservices * Hands-on experience building unified messaging or event streaming services with GitOps approaches * Prior work on RAG-driven chatbots, context-aware assistants, or cognitive search solutions * Familiarity with IBM watsonx Orchestrate and [1] watsonx.ai * Contributions to patents, open-source AI frameworks, or speaking engagements at industry conference References Visible links 1. http://watsonx.ai/ IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
