The Workday Talent Sr. Architect, known internally as Sr. Product Lead, owns the CFA enterprise-wide technology strategy, architecture, & delivery for the Talent Product (e.g. Careers, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Org Design & Talent/Resource Agility).

 

The Product Lead serves as primary Workday technology partner & advisor to Talent Consulting and Org & Talent Readiness teams across multiple entities including Chick-fil-A Corporate, Vertical Business Lines (Chick-fil-A Supply, Bay Center Foods), Launch Support and future audiences.

 

This role is viewed as an expert and leader and will influence the strategic direction of Talent Consulting and Org & Talent Readiness by aligning short term & long-term business objectives with technology opportunities and bringing them to life through implementation. This role will represent CFA in outside discussions, technical forums or industry product advisory boards.

 

The Sr. Product Lead leverages expert Workday Technical knowledge to provide tailored and scalable solutions for different audiences in a shared Workday environment.

 

This role will report to the Principal Team Leader, Talent Systems.

Responsibilities

Expert Workday Solutions Architect

Oversee and own the overall Workday technical architecture for the Talent domain to ensure multiple, unique entities operate effectively in a single Workday environmentApply expert knowledge to ensure security & scalability between different entities and across Workday modules, resolving competing and complex requirements Develop and maintain long-term technology strategy and roadmap for Talent Consulting & Org and Talent Readiness systems across multiple entitiesPartner on annual and multi-year business and technology planningProactively identify high-value opportunities to automate, optimize, innovate, and reinvent existing and new Talent processes and technology Leverage “hands-on” WD Technical skills to solution complex technical challenges & understand system dependencies and ensure successful & accurate delivery of technical designManages the Sr. Analyst’s work related to WD Talent configuration & issues resolution support ensuring consistent system architecture & alignment to business needs. The Sr. Analyst is not this role direct report.Serve as a mentor and coach for other Product Leads and less experienced technology staffServs as a backup to the WD Recruiting Product Lead

 

Product Strategy & Leadership

Influence strategic decisions and deliver significant presentations and product demos to multiple levels of Leadership Advise on Talent technology best practices informed by industry trends, emerging technology, & external benchmarkingResponsible for delivering simple & user experience focused design across different entitiesCreate and present business case for project or new technologyResponsible for learning and evaluating new Talent technology for the overall product portfolioEvaluate the success of the current Talent product portfolio ensuring ongoing delivery of expected business valueRepresent CFA in outside discussions and technical forums or industry product advisory boardsBuild strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams enabling a clear understanding of how and when to include these resources to successful & holistic business outcomesHandle confidential information with appropriate sensitivity and good judgment

 

Enterprise Project Leadership

Lead large and/or complex Talent Projects independently, managing business and technical project team membersManage multiple projects simultaneously, including timeline and risk. Identify and mitigate key risks with project team and project leadership.Oversee organizational change management on technology projectsResponsible for adapting to internal and external factors like resourcing, budget or vendor challengesSelect and manage vendors and outsourced partners to ensure they understand priorities and are providing deliverables as expected, and measure performance metrics where applicable.Responsible for establishing and managing contracts and project budgets Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree4+ years of experienceStrong understanding and functional knowledge of Talent practices and processes Expert Workday technical knowledge and skillsExtensive Technology consulting skillsExperience with Large SaaS implementation methodology and skillsAbility to connect complex business needs/problems to simplified technology solutionsGood interpersonal skills and desire to work collaborativelyProven track record of building trusted relationships and presenting to senior leadershipProven ability to influence complex decisions and simplify complex technology conceptsExcellent organization, attention to detail and planning skills Strong written and oral communication skills
