Sr. Volunteer Assistant - ALS Center - PT Days

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the ALS Manager is responsible for coordination of all volunteer activities including recruitment, screening, orientation, selection and placement in of volunteers in clerical, patient support and potential fundraising volunteer functions. Reviews volunteer records for completion of SPHP volunteer requirements. Communicates as necessary to maintain records. Works closely with ALS Manager and staff in volunteer program development and recognition of volunteer support. Identifies volunteer training needs, supports education and seeks guidance from Manager as necessary to support volunteers working with this terminal ALS patient population. Participates and assists in coordination and facilitation of ALS volunteers for Fundraising events as needed. Assists with ALS Center website information and review.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma required. Three (3) years' experience working with the public/community required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required. Telephone and computer skills required. One year experience in coordination and implementation of volunteer activities preferred. Must have drivers license and access to an automobile.

Pay range: $17.85-$23.75

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
