About the Team PetSmart Veterinary Services (PVS) is an independent veterinary ownership model that is rapidly growing inside PetSmart locations in the US and Puerto Rico. PVS provides a complete solution for veterinarians to open their own franchised veterinary practice. Launched in 2022, PVS hospitals connect pet parents with local, trusted veterinarians with convenient veterinarian hospital locations within PetSmart stores. It’s a simple but powerful solution that gives veterinarians ownership and control of their practice while providing high-quality veterinary care. About the Location Field Position: This position is considered Field based and is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Field associates will spend their time both traveling to and spending time in various PetSmart locations and can expect to be asked to travel to Phoenix Home Office periodically throughout the year. Field associates typically work out of their home office when not traveling as outlined above. About the Job The Franchise Development Sr. Sourcing & CRM Specialist plays a critical role in driving the success of the PetSmart Veterinary Services (PVS) Business Development and Sales team. This full-time, salaried position is responsible for building and executing sourcing strategies, optimizing CRM systems, delivering actionable insights through reporting, and supporting events and marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director of Franchise Development, this role strategically fuels the growth and development of our franchise network through veterinary franchise recruitment, pipeline management, and operational excellence. This is a high-visibility, high-impact position. Key Responsibilities Sourcing & Lead Generation Build and execute active and passive sourcing strategies to identify and attract top veterinary doctor talent and franchise prospects. Conduct market research and industry mapping to identify and engage new prospects. Develop, nurture, and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and candidates, ensuring proactive engagement and consistent communication. Leverage sourcing tools including job boards, social media, referrals, niche sites, and professional networks. Conduct initial discovery calls with candidates and prospects as needed to assess interest, alignment, and readiness. Focus on sourcing in high-priority and high-visibility areas for the Business Development team. Regional Sales Leaders are expected to manage sourcing within their own territories. CRM Administration Own day-to-day CRM management, optimization, and data integrity within FranConnect. Update and maintain accurate candidate and prospect records, lead status, and engagement history. Build, run, and analyze CRM reports and dashboards to deliver actionable insights to the Franchise Development and Sales teams. Manage CRM workflows and drive continuous improvements in system usage, lead scoring, and segmentation. Ensure the CRM is a reliable, up-to-date, and strategic tool to support lead conversion and pipeline health. Weekly Reporting & Insights Prepare and deliver weekly reports summarizing key pipeline metrics, week-over-week changes, source effectiveness, and opportunity insights. Analyze trends, gaps, and risks, and provide proactive recommendations to drive business results. Track KPIs tied to sourcing effectiveness, lead engagement, and franchise development goals. Conference & Event Support Prepare pre-event prospecting lists, manage on-site lead capture, and deliver post-event analysis through conference scorecards (lead metrics, engagement analytics, conversion tracking, and ROI summaries). Prepare and send pre and post event communications in alignment with conference and events strategies Attend conferences and expos as requested (up to 30% travel) to support franchise recruitment efforts, lead generation, and brand presence. Marketing & Campaign Execution Serve as a liaison with the marketing team and agency to execute outreach initiatives, including drip campaigns, email/text campaigns, and direct mailers. Align marketing messaging with sourcing strategies to maximize prospect engagement and lead nurturing. Cross-functional Collaboration Partner closely with Franchise Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless lead handoff and pipeline management. Collaborate on special projects, process improvements, and new program rollouts to continuously elevate sourcing and sales operations. Provide market feedback and sourcing intelligence to leadership to guide strategy adjustments. Compliance & Process Adherence Ensure all sourcing, outreach, and CRM management activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations (e.g., data privacy standards). Maintain consistency and quality standards in documentation, reporting, and communications. Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in sourcing, recruitment, and/or sales roles. Proven experience managing and optimizing CRM platforms (FranConnect experience strongly preferred). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong desire to contribute to a high-performance culture based on shared accountability and results. Veterinary, healthcare, or franchise development experience preferred. AIRS certification or equivalent sourcing accreditation is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Advanced CRM utilization and reporting experience (FranConnect preferred). Comfortable learning and adapting to new platforms and digital tools. Travel Requirements Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time for conferences, expos, hospital visits, and team meetings. Why Join Us?
