The Sr. Vendor Operations Manager will be responsible for the strategic development of the company's NA vendors compliance, as well as the vendor compliance IT systems used by the DC VR team. This individual will manage and work collaboratively with other internal Foot Locker departments that manage Domestic Vendors, including Inbound Logistics, Merchandising, Planning & Allocations Teams. This position will provide supervision and operational guidance to the tactical processes of the VR reps on NA vendors and work in collaboration with the Manager DC Operations. The Manager of NA Vendor Management & Systems will work with our NA Vendors, Merchant, Merchandise Integrity, Inventory Control, Loss Prevention and Distribution Center Teams to drive vendor improvements and vendor communication for all Foot Locker initiatives. This individual will work with GTS and DC IT teams to prioritize and drive enhancements of various systems to improve efficiency at the DCs and maintain open communication on various projects related to vendors and DC operations for the improvement of supply chain initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesThe Sr. Vendor Operations Manager works as the driver for Vendor Operations framework, policies, systems for Foot Lockers North America network. Core focus areas include Strategic Planning, Vendor Engagement & Management, Compliance reporting, and Continuous Improvement mindset.
Strategic Planning: 25%
Develop programs to drive improvements in all areas of the supply chain and vendor relations departments.Continuously review the departmental organization throughout the Vender Relations team at the DC to drive compliance, communication, and consistency with Vendors and efficiency with internal and external partners.Design and plan compliance programs to support supply chain objectives. Continuously review, present and act upon new compliance opportunities and data collection to improve business functions. Drive improved compliance of vendors by working internally with Foot Locker partners and the vendor base.Maintain contact with all business relationships within the Merchandising and Planning & Allocation departments to drive innovative programs and control all groups to provide a consistent compliance program essential for positive vendor relations.Development of People within their teams to grow in leadership skills and job skills to allow for succession planning across the company and satisfaction within organization.Vendor Communication and Relationship Building: 25%
Sponsor pro-active meetings with Manager of DC Compliance, Merchants, Loss Prevention and Vendors and various other Teams to review and understand Foot Locker business and supply chain requirements. Coordinate and conduct all vendor meetings.Conduct distribution tours for the Foot Locker NA Vendors so they walk away with a clear understanding of DC processes/requirementsWork Collaboratively with Vendors to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and drive business synergies.Supply Chain & Department Process Improvement:15%
Work collaboratively with internal departments to build a cohesive and consistent program managed by the DC Vendor Relations Compliance leaders and DC operations. Provide development opportunities to drive improvements identified in DC audit results.Maintain communication with DC senior leadership and Loss Prevention on continuous development and improvement on shrink initiatives within Supply Chain.Work collaboratively with all levels of DC management throughout the Foot Locker network, developing metrics to monitor improvements and opportunities.Ongoing review of program processes to drive results; recommending and overseeing enhancements. Develop and manage projects within department and with assistance of GTS Leadership.Review and update the Foot Locker Vendor Standards Manual minimally once per year. Review and propose revisions to compliance programs based on company initiatives and industry best practices through collaboration and review of retail best practices throughout all facets of retail.Supervision: 15%
Manage staff of 1 Supervisor for the Vendor Relations Organization. Travel to NA Vendors as well as conduct meetings via conference call, DC tours as requested by Foot Locker NA Vendors at any of Foot Locker Distribution Centers to meet and support DC Vendor Relations staff and DC operations.Accountable for the Vendor Relations Team at the DC including the process within the DC for department training and support guidance. Develop and drive operational objectives for Vendor Relation projects related to inventory accuracy and efficiency within the supply chain as they develop. Establish priorities, goals, and workflows, as well as creating standards for NA Vendors and publishing of Vendor Standards Manual annual reviews.Systems framework: 15%
WMOS system management in collaboration with various teams to include Manhattan, Foot Locker GTS Partners, and Manager of DC Compliance Leaders. Collaborate and be aware of market updates to GTS for Compliance System working with WMOS, Research and Collaborate with other retailers to identify best practices and enhancements to allow for maximum efficiency and productivity.Tactical Operation: 5%
Provide analytical support, act upon data discovery to improve business functions to cross-functional teams.Ensure weekly reporting of all departmental metrics are maintained. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar fields. 5 -7 years’ experience within distribution or vendor management related fields. Additional years of experience may be substituted for educational experience where applicable. Broad familiarity with distribution management systems required with working knowledge of supply chain systems (PKMS, EDI, PMMS/JDA, TMS preferred)Possess Deep knowledge of Vendor Compliance and Vendor Operation’s business models with understanding or systems and framework.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, and Power AutomateSound time management and problem-solving skills to manage concurrent priorities and meet associated deadlinesDemonstrates an ability to work and build relationships with all levels of the business from entry-level teammates - the Executive TeamDemonstrates an ability to analyze data and effectively synthesize recommendations to improve DC Vendor Compliance. BenefitsThe annual base salary range is $125,000 - $155,000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
