How you will make an impact!
This role is responsible for the development and delivery of Electron Microscopy training for internal and external customers. We will deliver technical training to a broad audience both in the classroom and at our customer sites. We encourage and empower learners with highly technical content and practical hands-on experience. Make our learners able to identify, repair and improve the Electron Microscopes use at Thermo Fisher. Our learners will consist of Field Service Engineers, R&D specialists, Operations Engineers, and users. All of these will have different knowledge levels, from newbies to senior specialists.
We develop new technologies and teach job skills through training, practice, and e-learning.
As a technical training team, we will develop close relations with colleagues from the Global Tech Support, Customer Service, R&D/PG, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management, and Customer Training. Coordinate and handle ad hoc learning solutions, either in our own training lab or on-site at customer sites.

EducationBachelor's or equivalent experience in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or other relevant degree highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesMinimum 7+ years as a Facilitator and organizer of on-the-spot training; or field service engineering experienceAbility to build out-of-the-box solutions to deliver trainingHands-on mentality; love high-end technical sophisticated tools and problemsProficient in English (verbal and writing), other language skills are an assetStrong communication skills; know how to bring colleagues, learners, and engineers together in a multifaceted environmentUnderstand how people learn and capable of envisioning yourself as the learnerSelf-starter who is highly productive without supervisionHighly communicative and able to explain difficult materialAble to present in front of a larger audienceEnergize, empower, encourage, convince, and motivate learnersYou will work in:A constantly evolving environment; interacting with Field Service, R&D, Operations, and EngineeringA multifaceted and creative learning environment, using skills-based learning, remote learning, virtual classes, and webinars. The salary range estimated for this position based in Oregon is $84,400.00–$126,550.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
