BRIEF OUTLINE OF KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create and manage test plans to perform a wide range of testing to qualify and analyze product performancePerform a wide range of testing to qualify or analyze product performance or to support new product R&DDesign and develop test fixtures for product qualification testing and/or design and implement electronic circuits, assemblies, and PCBs for product qualification testingDesign and implement instrumentation for product qualification testingUtilize Data Acquisition (DAQ) and Analysis systems for product qualification testingAnalyze test data and write concise technical reportsWork closely with Design and Project Engineers

QUALIFICATIONS (Education; Years/Type Experience; Company/Industry Background; Managerial, Technical Skills):

Candidates Must Have:BS in Mechanical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology (MS preferred)Master (High) level experience (minimum 5 years) developing, modifying, and de-bugging LabVIEW based data acquisition (DAQ) and analysis systems (7 years preferred) or have high level of experience in the  development of drawings of mechanical systemsJourneyman level experience (minimum 2 years) developing, modifying, and de-bugging Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)Minimum 7 years experience - 10 years preferred (“hands on”) in applied instrumentation using a wide variety of transducers (accelerometers, pressure transducers, load cells, torque sensors, strain gages, LVDTs, etcExperience developing, modifying, and de-bugging Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)A sound understanding of the fundamentals of digital signal analysisA working knowledge of MS Word and ExcelGood communications skills; written and oralGood mechanical and/or electrical aptitudeHighly Preferred but Not Essential:Experience working on new product development projectsExperience developing, modifying, and de-bugging Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)Familiar with mechanical testing of materialsExperience troubleshooting electronic circuit faults or wiring issues.Stress/Strain testing experienceOther Plusses/Nice To Have’s:Experience working on or maintaining PCs and Windows operating systemsFamiliarity with safety standards/product liabilityBasic machine shop skills (operation of drill presses, milling machines, and lathes)Knowledge in electronics (work experience, academic, or hobby)Vibration or sound testing and analysis experienceHigh energy
