The Opportunity

In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

What You’ll Work On

Perform preventative, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, safety checks, repairs, installations, and modifications on production equipment. Record all maintenance repair activity on production equipment and fixtures at the Minnetonka facility using CMMS. Knowledge of and skill in repairing industrial machinesKnowledge of and experience in troubleshooting and repairing all production equipmentRecognize repair items that require outside service and arrange for repairKnowledge of and experience in using small tools, micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, multimeters, etc.Ability to understand and follow verbal and written proceduresAbility to read and understand drawings and electrical schematicsKnowledge of personal computer operations and skill in using software packages including Microsoft Office, Windchill, Infor EAMAbility to respond to and answer/solve technical questions and problemsTear down, inspect and rebuild production equipmentAssist with production line moves and update equipment records in CMMSAbility to diagnose production test system and equipment problems and take the appropriate corrective action to repairAssign and complete PM work orders to technicians and ensure an even distribution of PM workRequisition needed items for inventory, spare parts and emergency repairsSupport 5S Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.Two-year technical vocational training and/or military experience.Minimum 4 years' experience.Knowledge of and skill in repairing industrial machines.

The base pay for this position is $23.25 – $46.55 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
