The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Business Continuity (BC) organization within the Security Operations Center (SOC) is seeking a process-focused TPM to build upon and expand our existing program which aims to raise the resilience bar across Amazon. The BC team partners with security, infrastructure, and service teams globally to map out critical capabilities, exercise likely scenarios, and fulfill our compliance requirements to our customers.

As the TPM for Business Continuity, you will architect and oversee comprehensive business continuity strategies that protect our operations, technology infrastructure, and people against potential disruptions. The position requires a leader who can seamlessly blend technical expertise with business acumen to develop robust continuity frameworks that align with our organization's risk tolerance and operational objectives.

In this role, you will drive the maturity of our program by implementing industry best practices, establishing governance structures, and creating measurable outcomes that demonstrate program effectiveness. You'll partner with leadership, technology teams, and business unit leaders to identify critical services, establish recovery priorities, and develop strategies that ensure sustainable operations during adverse events. Success in this position requires exceptional stakeholder management skills, as you'll be coordinating with teams across multiple geographies, technologies, and business functions to ensure our continuity program remains current and effective in an evolving risk landscape.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in managing large-scale business continuity, resilience, or disaster recovery programs, with a proven track record of implementing successful initiatives in complex, technical enterprise environments. You should possess strong technical knowledge of infrastructure, applications, and cloud technologies, combined with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused solutions that protect our organization's most critical assets and operations.


Key job responsibilities
As an AWS SOC TPM you will interface with cross-functional engineering and operations stakeholders to build or improve upon SOC solutions that will be used by the Security Operations Center (SOC) customers. You will have the ability to operate in the intersection of strategic and tactical initiatives, as needed by the leadership team. You will be able to operate with autonomy, using your experience and judgement as you guide your path through ambiguity. You will develop initiatives to help build and analyze our workflows for optimization.
In this role you will:
- Enable transparency and decision-making across AWS executive leadership by providing critical communication and clear status of the security initiatives you own.
- Create new support workflows and make suggestions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify and drive technical and business projects to improve upon resilience at AWS
- Drive project execution while making trade-off recommendations, understand the technical challenges, enable solutions, report on status, and resolve blocking issues.
- Document existing support processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation/self-service.
- Collect and analyze the team's performance and delivery of data, taking action regarding responses, and reporting to the organization.
