Sr. Technical Business Analyst (Client Analytics) Requisition ID: 251793 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **The Team** The Client Analytics technology team is part of the Global Banking & Markets Engineering Group supporting Client P&L and performance metrics analytics and reporting. We are working on numerous projects to modernize our analytic platform, enabling our business partners the capability and availability to better manage client relationships and improve insights into client profitability. This is an opportunity to work with analytics, gaining exposure to various systems and business areas of the Bank. **The Role** We are searching for a results‑oriented and highly motivated Senior Technical Business Analyst to liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions are developed and delivered on time, efficiently, and with high quality. The successful candidate will have a curious mindset, strong business and technical skills, and a passion for solving complex problems while contributing to the success of the Bank. The ability to clearly communicate and bridge business with technical expertise it critical. You will have the opportunity to work with cross‑functional teams, including engineers, architects, and business partners across departments, to develop and implement scalable solutions that deliver excellence and value to our business partners and customers. **Is this role right for you? In this role you will:** + Demonstrate informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and identify opportunities for process and data improvement. + Act as a key analysis partner for both BAU and project initiatives, supporting reporting, analytics, and data‑driven decision‑making. + Engage with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business objectives, reporting requirements, data gaps, and pain points. + Develop and deliver Business Requirements Documents, functional and technical specifications, design documentation, use cases, test documentation, and process models as required, ensuring all requirements are accurate, complete, and testable. + Translate business requirements into clear technical and data specifications that support development and analytics use cases. + Conduct detailed technical data analysis, validation, and investigation, including hands‑on SQL queries, to support solution delivery, troubleshoot data issues, and reconcile results. + Partner closely with technology teams to review logic, mappings, and transformations, ensuring business intent is correctly implemented. + Own and support testing activities, including data validation, system testing, and user acceptance testing, working with business users to review results, manage issues, and obtain sign‑off. + Participate in the development of project plans, monitor progress against objectives, and support alignment and cooperation across users and senior stakeholders. + Liaise effectively between the business community and IT teams to deliver technical solutions that meet user needs. + Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues across global regions. **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:** + 5 to 7 years of experience working in a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role, with a strong understanding of financial products. + Solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts; prior experience supporting revenue, P&L, or profitability reporting is an asset. Strong curiosity and motivation to investigate, learn, and deepen knowledge in these areas is critical. + Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical and data specifications and drive solutions through to completion. + Recent project experience writing intermediate to advanced SQL queries for data analysis, validation, or investigation purposes. + Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross‑departmental teams. + Experience working in an Agile environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to new processes and standards and a strong commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes. + Experience working across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle. **Nice to Have Skills** + Understanding of the Bank’s application systems and data from both business and technical perspectives to assess the impact of changes across the data processing environment. + Financial certification or professional designation. + Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and analytics tools. + Proficiency in Python. **What's in it for you?** + Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Allyship - We strive to create an inclusive culture where every employee is empowered to reach their fullest potential, respected for who they are, and are embraced through bias-free practices and inclusive values across Scotiabank.
