Amazon.com
AWS Manufacturing & Repair operations is focused on automated assembly solutions where innovative solutions are needed to accelerate overall manufacturing time, working backwards from customers to increase critical capacity for AWS services by improving yield and reliability while reducing cycle time. This new highly cross-functional initiative brings together critical expertise from a wide-range of Amazon teams dedicated to meeting and exceeding customer expectations through innovative validation processes and Amazon operational excellence.
We are seeking a Sr. Tech Ops Engineer focused on Materials Management Strategy to serve as the materials planning and supply execution backbone of a new manufacturing and repair initiative at AWS scale. In this role, you will support the connection of demand planning and forecasting, ownership of material milestone tracking, driving supply risk management, and ensuring material availability across the program to support uninterrupted production. You will develop and execute the materials management strategy for manufacturing and repair operations, including procurement execution through Coupa and SAP, non-inventory and packaging material planning, and supplier delivery coordination. You will translate production schedules and build plans into actionable material requirements that keep the line running and cycle times on target. You will work in an environment where the business strategy is defined but the materials planning framework, procurement processes, and supply performance infrastructure must be built from the ground up. You will influence across multiple partner and external teams, shape senior leader decisions, and serve as the connective tissue between production demand, supply execution, and the systems that power both—driving long-term program impact.
AWS Manufacturing & Repair is a part of the broader AWS Infrastructure Services team which owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We are the teams who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
