Roles and Responsibilities

On site role, mix of lab and office environments. Placed with our Platform Systems Engineering group supporting technology development in capillary electrophoresis, microarray, and qPCR based diagnosticsCollaborate with the R&D team to conduct development for next generation diagnostics instrumentation and workflowsDesign-prototyping, systems integration, debugging complex breadboard systems (optical, electrical, mechanical, fluidics, software, firmware)Perform root cause analysis and refine breadboards and prototypes to meet performance targets

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in prototyping, systems integration, and debugging complex systemsKnowledge of genetics tools and workflows (e.g. Sanger sequencing, qPCR, NGS, DNA synthesis)In progress Masters or PhD program in engineering or related discipline preferredIn person role; South San Francisco with flexibility to commute Bay Area

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position Sr Intern based inCalifornia is $14.75–$55.00.
