Description Robert Half is currently recruiting for a detail-oriented Sr. Staff Accountant to join our client's team in the Knoxville, Tennessee. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting expert with a strong background in financial processes and systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing data, and supporting corporate financial objectives. Responsibilities: • Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded. • Prepare and post journal entries to support accounting operations. • Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data. • Conduct bank reconciliations to align internal records with external statements. • Support financial processes related to mergers and acquisitions. • Utilize NetSuite and other accounting software to manage financial operations. • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations. • Assist in budgeting and forecasting to guide business planning. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes. The position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 4+ years of experience. The position is onsite and will require someone to live in the Knoxville or surrounding areas.
