My client, located near Westfield, NJ has an opportunity for a Senior Staff Accountant.

Responsibilites:
▪ Provide targeted operational reporting to stakeholders including product mix and finished goods production volume results; report direct labor utilization to department managers monthly to assess KPI adherence for production lines.
▪ Responsible to participate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Month End Close, Balance Sheet reconciliations.
▪ Oversee all aspects of month end closing including posting company expense and utility accruals, updating fixed asset activity, calculating obsolete inventory and workers compensation reserves, completing adjusting entries, updating depreciation, and posting payroll activity.
▪ Provide support to Controller monthly consolidations and audit engagement as required. Provide follow-up as needed to auditor inquiries.
▪ Collaborate with project managers to develop CAPEX forecasting monthly; present estimated project spending and actuals vs budget reporting to Controller based on targeted completion and commissioning timelines.
▪ Oversee ROI analysis of manufacturing assets post commissioning to determine if targeted labor savings, cost avoidance, or capacity improvements were achieved based on CAR assumptions, present findings to stakeholders for continuous improvement of operational strategy.
▪ Supported HR / Operations in development of company direct labor strategy by forecasting financial impact of various wage rate increase and compression scenarios as requested.
▪ Assist Controller in development and presentation of monthly financial reporting package to CEO; provide financial summary of operational results vs static and flexible plan and review key cost drivers including controllable and non-controllable costs, PPV, usage variances, and labor absorption.
▪ Financial, operational, CAPEX and budget variance reporting.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• At least three years’ experience in accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Quick Books and Acumatica experience a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read and analyze financial reports.
• Advance skill utilizing Microsoft Excel
