The Opportunity
This position works out of our Livermore, CA location in the Abbott Heart Failure, Acelis Connected Health business. Our Heart Failure solutions are helping address some of the World’s greatest healthcare challenges.
Acelis Connected Health’s DME & IDTF businesses operate across all states in the US with several hundred payor plans to serve it’s 80,000+ patients on service. This Sr. Specialist, Payor Relations will be critical to drive the ongoing activities required to serving and expand access to patients. These activities include supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of processes related to commercial payor contracting. These processes span end-to-end contracting across all lines of business at Acelis Connected Health.
What You’ll Work On
This role acts as the liaison between Acelis and its commercial payors, ensuring the contract is supported and the relationship remains healthy and productive. This includes the following:
Reviews updated correspondences, provider manuals, and provider policies
Performs fee schedule updates and termination requests
Manages credentialing requests, including initial & ongoing credentialing
Facilitates quarterly payor meetings for high volume payors
Develops, maintains, and presents to leadership the KPIs/metrics related to areas of responsibility
Represents the payor relations function as a core team member on cross-functional projects
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline
4+ years relevant experience in payor contracting at a healthcare provider, payor, or network
Demonstrated ability to develop, improve, and monitor commercial contracting processes
Ability to work independently and managing competing priorities routinely.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in related field
3+ years experience in payor contracting within the DME/IDTF provider space
3+ years experience working directly with CMS (Medicare/Medicaid) and The Joint Commission

The base pay for this position is $90,000.00 – $180,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
