Description Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API) is the next generation suite of API-based automation functionality for Amazon's Selling Partners, evolving from the Amazon Marketplace Web Service (Amazon MWS) APIs. These APIs enable sellers to programmatically list, sell and exchange data on Amazon. The Luxury Stores team is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Sr. Solutions Architect who will shape the future of luxury retail on Amazon. As a trusted technical advisor, you will lead integration projects for luxury brands while working with internal cross-functional partners (e.g., Business Development, Product, Marketing and Engineering) to drive innovation and adoption of API solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a unique balance of technical depth and customer-facing experience, with the ability to assess opportunities both within and beyond SP-API implementations and drive adoption across organizations ranging from emerging brands to established enterprises. You will need to stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive offerings to identify potential API gaps and opportunities that could enhance the luxury retail experience. You must be comfortable building and maintaining technical credibility with diverse stakeholders, from API Developers and Solution Architects to Product Managers and C-level executives. Success in this role requires the ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges while delivering measurable business value. You will investigate and evaluate solutions across various technical domains, including but not limited to APIs, cloud services, e-commerce platforms, and retail technologies. You will thrive in ambiguity and define solutions that are extensible to broader contexts and use cases, while maintaining the high standards expected in the luxury retail space. Key job responsibilities Key Responsibilities: • Establish technical credibility in the sales cycle and collaborate with Sales to drive adoption of API solutions among luxury brands • Lead technical projects to integrate luxury brand systems with Amazon's SP-API platform, from discovery through implementation and post-production support • Design and architect scalable, secure solutions aligned with customers' long-term business goals • Build deep relationships with luxury brands' senior technical leaders • Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers considering or using Selling Partner API • Create code samples, tutorials, whitepapers, and technical articles for the developer community • Author customer-facing publications including onboarding guides and best practices documentation • Participate in technical architectural discussions to optimize customer integrations • Provide customer feedback to development teams and influence SP-API roadmap • Ensure API solutions comply with acceptable use policies and security standards • Develop reference architectures specific to luxury retail implementations • Act as a technical liaison between customers, support, engineering, and business teams • Identify bottlenecks, suggest solutions, and drive improvements across teams Basic Qualifications - 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience - 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience - 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience - Proven track record of managing complex technical integration projects - Strong understanding of API security, scalability, and integration patterns - Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements to technical solutions Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience - Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs - Experience working with end user or developer communities Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
