Sr. Software Development Engineer, Trust Fundamentals
Description Trust Fundamentals organization is responsible for maintaining and raising the trust bar for Amazon customers across a diverse set of 30+ Devices and Services (D&S). We offer horizontal services for builders and customer-facing capabilities to address trust needs of our global customers As a Sr.SDE you will be the lead for a large software engineering team. You will define and evolve the teams practices, and own your team's product vision and roadmap. You'll ensure that the best engineering practices are followed and that our software is of the highest quality. You will be a key contributor in our product vision, partnering with product management teams to help define and develop a roadmap of customer-delighting features, using and enabling emerging technologies like GenAI/Ambient Computing. Key job responsibilities - Define the system architecture, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall experience - Collaborate closely with product managers, builder teams across Amazon, and other SDE team members to help define the scope of the product - Participate in the full development life cycle, working within broadly defined parameters, including test plan execution and software quality needs. - Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement - Design and define the interaction between the solution components and other systems where applicable. - Engineer highly scalable, cloud-native applications Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
