We are seeking an exceptional Sr. Software Development Engineer to develop and deploy strategic initiatives that aim to revolutionize equipment monitoring, data integration and Computer Vision capabilities across our global fulfillment network.
Our environment is global and complex with a variety of software and systems, including industrial machines and protocols. We are constantly innovating on behalf of the customer through the development of custom hardware and software technology solutions.
An ideal candidate will be capable of supporting the development of next-gen software platforms and automation solutions. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and test. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative environment.
As a lead within this team you will be involved with the development of edge-based solutions where the cloud meets the real world in the heart of our fulfillment centers. The ideal candidate will enjoy working at multiple layers of the stack from development of solutions for low level embedded Linux control systems, to developing cloud based solutions to interface with and manage fleets of real world devices.

* Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
* Implement complex software solutions that meet business requirements
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
* Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs
* Participate in architecture and design reviews to provide technical guidance
* Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancement
* Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a strong engineering culture
A day in the life
On a typical day as an OneMHS Sr. SDE, you might:
* Start your morning with a team stand-up to align on priorities and address any blockers
* Collaborate with product managers to refine requirements for upcoming features
* Write code and develop solutions for complex technical challenges
* Review pull requests from team members, providing constructive feedback
* Participate in design discussions for new services or features
* Debug and troubleshoot production issues as they arise
* Document your work and contribute to technical specifications
* Engage with customers or internal stakeholders to better understand their needs

You will be joining the MHE Optimization Systems Science (MOSS) team within Automation Integration Technologies (AIT), where you'll drive impactful initiatives while working alongside teams developing AI and ML solutions for our Material Handling Systems (MHS).
We're building more than just a unified equipment services platform – we're creating the foundation for next-generation ML, Computer Vision and AI applications in material handling systems. Our team combines expertise in distributed systems, industrial automation, cloud architecture, and machine learning to deliver solutions that impact millions of customers daily.
