This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our client office at a minimum 4 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are seeking a Senior Rule Engineering to design, implement, and manage complex business rules within enterprise software systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep understanding of business logic, and expertise in rule engines or Business Rules Management Systems (BRMS). You will work closely with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable, efficient, and maintainable rules.
• Rule Design: Analyze business requirements and create rules that accurately reflect logic and compliance needs.
• Implementation: Develop and deploy rules using rule engines or BRMS platforms (e.g., Drools, IBM ODM, Pega).
• Testing & Validation: Ensure rules function correctly and deliver expected outcomes through rigorous testing.
• Maintenance & Optimization: Update and refine rules as business needs evolve, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for all rules and processes.
• Technical Expertise:
o Hands-on experience with rule engines or BRMS (Drools, IBM ODM, Red Hat Decision Manager, Pega).
o Strong programming skills in Java or Python for rule logic and integration.
o Solid understanding of data modeling, SQL, and ETL concepts.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to translate complex business requirements into logical, executable rules.
• Experience:
o Background in software development or data engineering.
o Prior experience transitioning into Data Analytics or Data Science roles is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
