Airswift is seeking a Senior Regional Category Manager to support a major offshore wind client in Boston, MA. This is a 1-year contract assignment with the potential for extension.
Job Summary:
The Senior Regional Category Manager will be a key procurement professional within the Operations and Maintenance division, responsible for managing vessel chartering activities across offshore wind farms in the Americas. This role will focus on strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract execution for various vessel types including Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs), Service Operation Vessels (SOVs), Jack-Up vessels, and barges.
Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy & Execution
Contribute to and implement regional category strategies aligned with global objectives. Ensure feedback loops between regional and global procurement teams.
Procurement Operations
Lead formal procurement events (tenders, direct awards, call-offs). Negotiate and execute contracts in alignment with operational needs.
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
Drive supplier performance reviews in accordance with global SRM frameworks. Develop and maintain an approved vendor list based on regional capabilities.
Data & Systems Management
Ensure high-quality data management in Apttus and Jaggaer platforms. Maintain transparency on budgets, spend, cost development, and contract accessibility.
Vessel Chartering & Contract Management
Manage contracts for chartered vessels used in operations. Source and negotiate additional vessel requirements during the operational phase.
Supply Chain Intelligence
Monitor market developments and supplier landscapes. Identify regional supply chain risks and opportunities.
Local Content & New Markets
Integrate local content requirements into regional category strategies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Maritime Management, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain within a relevant industry. Vessel chartering or management experience is a strong advantage. Proven ability to analyze complex data and provide strategic recommendations. Strong stakeholder management and strategic planning skills.
