Summary: Seeking a Purchasing Manager with experience leading a team in a DoD/Defense environment for procurement strategy development and supplier management.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in business administration or a related field

10-15 years of related experience and training

Experience as a purchasing manager or similar position

Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management

Supervisory and management experience

U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Skills:

Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / 80/20 / 6 Sigma / Kaizen

Job Responsibilities:

Develop procurement strategies and drive material cost savings

Manage and develop suppliers

Conduct extensive contract negotiations

Support margin growth through 80/20-related activities

Supervise Buyers and Planners, including hiring, training, and performance appraisals

Address and resolve employee complaints and problems

 

 

 

 

Pay Details: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour
