Senior Property Accountant – Make an Impact in Commercial Real Estate About the Opportunity Join a team that’s redefining San Francisco’s Market Center! We’re seeking a Senior Property Accountant to lead accounting operations for a two-building commercial property undergoing major renovations and upgrades. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on accounting, operational involvement, and exposure to leasing and construction projects—all within a collaborative, growth-driven environment. What You’ll Do + Oversee all property accounting functions, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting. + Manage lease administration and set up new/renewal leases in MRI/PMX. + Prepare construction draws and monitor project-related costs. + Handle accounting for tenant improvements, leasing commissions, and capital projects. + Partner with property management on ad-hoc projects and renovations. + Develop tools and processes (checklists, Smartsheets) to improve efficiency. + Support lender reporting and financial planning initiatives. + Expand responsibilities as additional properties are acquired. What We’re Looking For + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 3+ years of commercial property accounting experience (preferred). + Familiarity with MRI (web version/PMX) is a plus. + Strong understanding of lease structures, tenant billings, and CAM reconciliations. + Highly organized, proactive, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment.
