Senior Property Accountant – Commercial Real Estate About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Property Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting for a two-building commercial property currently undergoing major renovations and upgrades. This position offers hands-on involvement in property operations, lease administration, and project accounting, with strong potential for growth as the portfolio expands. Key Responsibilities + Manage all aspects of property accounting, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting. + Set up new and renewal leases in MRI/PMX and assist with lease administration. + Prepare construction draws and monitor project-related costs. + Handle accounting for leasing commissions, tenant improvements, and capital projects. + Partner with property management on ad-hoc projects and operational planning. + Create checklists and Smartsheets to improve workflow efficiency. What We’re Looking For + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 3+ years of experience in commercial property accounting (preferred). + Proficiency with MRI (web version/PMX) is preferred. + Solid understanding of lease structures, tenant billings, and CAM reconciliations. + Highly organized, proactive, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment.
