About the role
The senior project manager is responsible for technical business analysis, consulting, business case development and technical task/project management associated with assigned department(s). Responsible for supervising and planning workload for team of 5 or more programmers.
Key Responsibilities
Assists business lines in assessing technology opportunities and options in order to recommend technical solutions. Assist with the management of the technology project.Provides business technical analysis, assists in development of business case justification, documents technical requirements, creates business statement of work documentation, and creates financial proposals for various projects. Manage timelines, milestones, dependencies, and change‑control documentation.Manages external vendor relationships including implementations, role and responsibilities definition, and evaluation of training needs. Coordinates transition to the business application; tests products for technical readiness; serves as a liaison with technical resourcesProvide clear status reporting, risk escalation, and stakeholder communication.Ensures the efficient implementation of each deployment step, including delegating duties to all programmers/analysts and keeping team members informed of the project needs, deadline changes, and functionality.Identifies and engages all key stakeholders, contributors and business and technical resources that must participate in a project. Facilitates regular project meetings and follow up with team members as required to focus on business and operational issues or technical issues.Remains current on technical and professional developments affecting area of responsibility.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related fieldProject Management Institution (PMI) certification or similar certification preferred 8+ years experience in a combination of business systems development, general business, and project management; and Background in computer programming or support to ensure an understanding of the technical development process; the ability to discuss technical issues with both technicians and business users.A proven track record of managing complex technical tasks or technical project within a business line and technical organization.Competencies & attributes

Working conditions & physical requirements
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated.
