The MedTech Surgery organization was recently established to combine our market-leading surgical portfolio with the Robotics & Digital Solutions portfolio. This opportunity is within Robotics and Digital Solutions (RAD) Program Management. By combining advancements in medical robotics, instrumentation, navigation and data science, the RAD franchise is building a platform technology capable of expanding the applicability of robotics to a spectrum of medical procedures. The Sr. Project Manager will be a core member of the OTTAVA surgical robotics team, responsible for the design and development of capital system hardware from concept generation to launch. The role will be accountable for developing end to end schedules and breaking them down into actionable quarterly objectives and key results. The individual will champion a hybrid Agile methodology to focus and drive the teams to achieve important short-term milestones that are critical to the success of the overall development plan and strategy. In collaboration with the team, the Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for risk management and mitigation which requires contingency planning, conflict resolution, and tradeoff assessments. Another aspect of this role is being a champion of the team and building strong positive relationships with peers and multi-disciplinary functional partners. The individual must be willing to challenge and communicate difficult decisions, strategies, and priorities while building a culture of collaboration and end to end accountability. With other team leaders the individual should build a positive team environment and a culture with a sense of urgency, driving toward improved team effectiveness and achievement. **Qualifications** + BS in Engineering or related technical subject area is required. + Prior program management experience of 5+ years is required, candidates with 8+ years will be preferentially considered. + Experience managing an R&D project is required. + Previous experience leading a multi-disciplinary technical project team is required. + Prior experience managing a complex electromechanical or mechatronics R&D project is required. + Previous experience working on software integrated HW product is preferred. + Previous experience with capital systems R&D is preferred. + Experience with MS Project required. + Agile methodology and Jira capabilities preferred. + Prior experience in a regulated environment is required. + Medical device experience is preferred. + High performer and leader with demonstrated ability to manage a complex program in a fast-paced environment. + Candidate must demonstrate influence and conflict resolution skills and ability to work collaboratively to align diverse stakeholders and lead teams without direct reporting authority. + This position may require up to 10% travel + This project team is based in Santa Clara CA. Local candidates will be preferentially considered. The anticipated salary range for this role is $134,000 - $231,150 Bay Area, CA.
