Sr. Project Manager

Job Summary

Manages the day-to-day operations of the product development function to develop or maintain cloud computing applications. Typically manages 2 or more specialized departments comprised of supervisors, managers, professionals, and/or large numbers of operational support employees.

Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, Cloud you will be supporting the Risk & Compliance and Control Automation functions, and responsible for managing the resolution of Matters Requiring Attention (MRAs), Findings from the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OFSI) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for Cloud. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our cloud operations adhere to regulatory requirements and internal risk and compliance standards. This position requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of program management, cloud technologies, risk management, and compliance frameworks.

What will you do?Support the Program Lead with day-to-day execution and management regulatory initiatives with multiple workstreams through full project lifecycle.Help establish appropriate governance and oversight for assigned initiatives.Manage the identification, assessment, and resolution of MRAs/MRIAs related to cloud initiatives and collaborate with other programs to close non-cloud owned MRAsPlan and execute projects/programs with a high level of complexity and uncertainty, including managing project scope, requirements change, multiple and competing demands, and priorities as well as determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk using appropriate fact-based metrics and assumptions.Develops integrated baseline project plans applying estimated models; documents estimating assumptions, refines plans and manages performance against themDetermines quality standards and oversees the execution/production of artefacts and documentationPro-actively and immediately identifies all risks related to project schedule/dependencies and recommends mitigation strategiesRaises and tracks issues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves minor project issues and escalates them to immediate manager when requiredDevelop and implement action plans to address MRAs, ensuring timely and effective resolution.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure MRAs are managed in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.Manages project communications including status reports to executives, stakeholders, business units, vendors, project team, etc.Promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance within the cloud team.Work closely with the Control Engineering team to integrate control measures into cloud operations.Prepare and present regular reports on MRA status, risk assessments, and compliance activities to senior management.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all MRA-related activities and resolutions.Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and internal audit requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or college level equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, Business Management or a related field.Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Change Management, etc)Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, risk management, compliance, or a related field, with a focus on IT.Proven experience in managing complex, multi-workstream, enterprise-wide IT transformation projects, with an understanding of cloud technologiesOutstanding program management skills including program leadership, schedule management; change management, status management, risk, and issue management, financial and benefits management, stakeholder management.Excellent facilitation skills, able to keep teams focused and engaged, resolve conflict, and solve problems as a team.Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, risk management, compliance, or a related field, with a focus on IT.Proven experience in managing complex, multi-workstream, enterprise-wide IT transformation projects, with an understanding of cloud technologiesOutstanding program management skills including program leadership, schedule management; change management, status management, risk, and issue management, financial and benefits management, stakeholder management.Excellent facilitation skills, able to keep teams focused and engaged, resolve conflict, and solve problems as a team.Expert understanding and experience with project delivery frameworks including Agile, Iterative Waterfall, and Hybrid.Advanced time management skills, able to prioritize work for the greatest impact through effective decision making.Bias for action, ownership, and an ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to drive work to completion under restrictive timelines.Above average performance.
