Job Description

The Sr. Project Leader works with Engineering, Program Managers, and Business Managers to bring our product roadmaps to life.

You will be reporting to Manager, Project Management.

Your Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities span the product development life cycle from project initiation, throughout development, to product release, while simultaneously serving as the Release Train Engineer (RTE) for the SAFe Agile Release Train (ART).

Project Leadership & Delivery

You will partner with global, multi-discipline engineering teams to manage project delivery plans, budgets, and resource plans.You will look beyond the current project state to identify dependencies, anticipate obstacles and risks, and put mitigation and contingency plans in place.You will bring stakeholders together to resolve complex project risks in the best interest of the Business.You will communicate progress, decisions, key issues, risks, and mitigation plans to project stakeholders and senior leadership.You will ensure project alignment across other initiatives to avoid duplication or misaligned opportunities.You will provide input to product roadmaps and strategies to optimize new product and feature delivery.

Operational ART Execution

You will lead the full PI Planning cycle, including pre-PI preparation, readiness activities, facilitation of PI Planning events, and post PI retrospectives to ensure a consistent, high quality planning experience across the ART.You will facilitate ART cadence and flow by running Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs, and System Demo related coordination to surface cross team dependencies, address systemic impediments, and maintain alignment to PI objectives.You will drive risk, dependency, and blocker management across teams by partnering with Product Management, System Architecture, Engineering Leads, and Scrum Masters to ensure resolution and predictable program execution.You will maintain transparent, data driven execution by ensuring Jira Align, ART dashboards, and PI/Sprint Confluence pages are accurate, current, and consistently used to inform decision making.Champion ART standards and continuous improvement, establishing guidelines, promoting consistent Agile practices, and enabling teams to strengthen execution discipline, quality, and predictability.You will coordinate with Engineering Leads and cross functional partners to address ART level issues, support readiness for key milestones, and ensure cohesive planning and delivery across the product and engineering ecosystem.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

Project & Delivery Management

You will manage projects to deliver defined scope, schedule, and cost; address issues within and beyond the project boundary.You will partner with the Product Manager to shape scope, support estimation, manage change requests, and secure stakeholder alignment.You will lead the team in defining milestones, monitoring progress, and driving course correction when needed.You will apply sound financial practices for estimating, forecasting, reporting, and tracking investment costs.You will confirm resource availability and collaborate with Functional Managers to ensure the right skills are allocated at the right time.You will ensure consistent Agile execution artifacts, apply lessons learned, and use risk and change management tools to deliver high‑quality outcomes.You will understand product roadmaps and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), integrating business strategy into planning and execution.You will communicate status, risks, dependencies, and recovery plans clearly to stakeholders and leadership; escalates and negotiates as needed.You will demonstrate success in managing multiple global projects simultaneously.

Agile Release Train (ART) Leadership

You will lead end to end PI Planning activities, ensuring teams are prepared, aligned, and able to establish realistic PI objectives.You will facilitate ART cadence and flow through Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs, and System Demo coordination, ensuring visibility and alignment across teams.You will drive proactive risk, dependency, and impediment management across the ART, partnering closely with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering Leads, and Scrum Masters.You will maintain reliable program transparency by ensuring Jira Align, ART dashboards, and PI/Sprint documentation remain accurate and up to date.You will champion ART standardization and continuous improvement, promoting consistent Agile practices and elevating team and program execution.You will coordinate with Engineering Leads and cross functional partners to ensure ART level readiness, resolve issues, and support predictable delivery.

Educational Qualifications / Work Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management, Engineering Business or Computer science.Knowledge of SAFe or similar Agile frameworks; hands-on experience supporting PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, or cross-team Agile coordination.Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or other related field.Proficiency with Agile lifecycle tools such as Jira / Jira Align.Work with global, multi-discipline project teams.Demonstrated leadership experience, knowledge of RA and knowledge relevant to technical responsibilities.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

PMP, Certified SAFe RTE, SAFe Agilist, or similar Agile certification.
