Sr. Project Finance Manager

Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant project finance management

Experience working with Commercial P&L reporting, including cost center mapping, operating expense allocations, and data validation.

Experience with ERP software, SAP a plus!

Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT) and testing methodologies, including test script preparation and execution.

Job Description

The Sr. Project Finance Manager leads critical commercial finance processes, oversees the sustainment and enhancement of forecasting dashboards and commercial P&L reporting, and drives complex projects in a global SAP environment. This role owns key business processes end-to-end, partners closely with regional and global stakeholders, and ensures high-quality financial insights through robust governance, validation, and continuous improvement of reporting tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

Own and manage the quarterly territory rollover business process, including leading all communications with regional and global stakeholders.Establish, maintain, and communicate the schedule and calendar for quarterly territory rollover activities.Prepare and distribute templates to collect feedback from regions, ensuring timely and accurate data collection.Perform validations on submitted territory data and lead subsequent conversations with regional teams and global support organizations to resolve issues.Review and approve or deny off-cycle account-to-territory change requests from global support organizations, ensuring adherence to governance and policy.Lead the business process for forecast snapshots, aligning with Global Commercial Finance on the approach and timing for dashboard refreshes and subscriptions from quarter end through forecast cycles.Update reporting flags and perform dashboard validations to ensure data accuracy and consistency across forecast snapshots.Provide support and coverage for dashboards, including troubleshooting issues and coordinating with technical teams as needed.Maintain and update the forecast snapshot calendar, including snap timings, and send calendar reminders to support ongoing sustainment.Review and approve or deny Tableau server access requests, ensuring appropriate access governance.Action Tableau workbook-level access requests received through ServiceNow, email, or other channels, including role-based security updates.Support and validate Tahoe publishes, ensuring that extracts and subscriptions function correctly and align with business requirements.Manage extract refresh and subscription settings, including monitoring performance and resolving issues.Communicate with executive leadership and Global Commercial FP&A regarding dashboard pauses, changes, or other impacts to reporting availability.Support quarter-end and SAP release activities by preparing dashboard lists and assisting with execution, validations, and pausing or enabling extracts and subscriptions.Lead the sustainment of the Commercial P&L, including quarterly reviews of cost center changes and coordination with global and regional teams on mapping updates and operating expense allocations.Validate Commercial P&L data between forecast cycles to ensure ongoing accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.Drive commercial projects by coordinating communications and meetings for go-live events, demonstrations, user acceptance tests, and project kick-offs.Prepare clear and compelling PowerPoint presentations to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.Develop, review, and refine user acceptance test (UAT) scripts to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.Lead or support testing and validation activities for commercial projects, ensuring that dashboards, Commercial P&L, and related tools meet requirements before go-live.Plan and oversee dashboards and Commercial P&L initiatives, acting as overall project manager or project lead where required.Manage the dashboard roadmap and project portfolio, including intake of new requests, prioritization, and assignment of resources.Lead requirements gathering and design sessions for new dashboards, collaborating with stakeholders to define scope, metrics, and visualizations.Provide ongoing support to the development team throughout dashboard development, ensuring alignment with business needs and timelines.Review, validate, and test dashboards and related tools prior to go-live, ensuring quality, usability, and accuracy.Define access groups and row-level security (RLS) for new dashboards to ensure appropriate data access and compliance.Prepare and review project plans for dashboard and reporting initiatives, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.Provide miscellaneous user support by responding to ad-hoc questions and requests from business partners regarding dashboards, forecasts, and commercial P&L.Foster strong stakeholder communication and alignment across global and regional teams, ensuring transparency and timely updates on key initiatives.Continuously improve business processes, tools, and reporting by identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing best practices.

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $54.00/hr.
