The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer - Affordability and Operational Analytics to support the Affordability Team in Berkeley, MO.

Position Overview:

The Senior Project Engineer will serve as an individual contributor responsible for supporting all overhead pool management activities associated with Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) St. Louis Engineering Pools. Additionally, this role will lead creation of KPI dashboards to monitor business health and health of staffing forecasts. The role requires mastery of Excel with ideally experience creating data visualization dashboards in either PowerBI or Tableau.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop an engineering rate strategy in alignment with overhead budget values and finance rates provided assumptions on G&A, Direct Labor, and Fringe.Define budgets and measure performanceCollect and assess forecasts for discretely estimated overhead items in alignment with technical strategy (Internal application development, production maintenance, expense related to capital projects, etc.)Determine strategies for the progression of analytics and KPIs to align with organizational focus and priorities.Evaluate organizational objectives, determine stakeholder needs, and identify requirements.Perform necessary data preparation

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience      Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.4 or more years experience performing Budgeting or Statistical Analysis

Preferred Qualifications :

MBA or advanced business degree.Basis of Estimate generation and detail sheet creationProven experience with Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization tools

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $114,750 - $155,250
