As a Program Officer on our Future of Work Initiative team, you will drive strategic partnerships that prepare individuals for the evolving landscape of work and address critical workforce challenges facing our society. Our team focuses on supporting innovative approaches to workforce development, skills training, and career pathways that help people transition to meaningful employment in a rapidly changing economy.

This position is compelling because you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of work by identifying and supporting breakthrough solutions that bridge the gap between education and employment while addressing the impact of automation and technological change. How You Will ContributeManage and expand a portfolio of placed-based grants focused on workforce development, skills training, alternative credentialing, and career pathway programs, conducting quarterly partner check-ins and annual performance reviews Lead the identification and evaluation of new partnership opportunities by researching emerging trends in workforce development, attending industry conferences annually, and maintaining relationships with thought leaders in the space Develop comprehensive grant recommendations and investment memos for leadership review, including detailed impact projections and alignment with organizational strategy Collaborate closely with Stand Together’s investment capabilities, policy education teams to ensure an integrated approach to workforce challenges and maximize cross-portfolio synergies Conduct site visits and relationship management activities, traveling to maintain strong partnerships with grantees across the country Track and analyze workforce outcomes data from partners, producing quarterly portfolio reports that measure job placement rates, wage improvements, and skill acquisition metrics What You Will Bring7+ years of professional experience with 5+ years in relationship management within development, fundraising, business development, or external relations in higher education, workforce development, or philanthropic environments Demonstrated track record of managing grant portfolios or partnership relationships with measurable outcomes and budget responsibility. Deep understanding of workforce development challenges, labor market dynamics, or economic development issues gained through direct work experience or advanced education Proven ability to build coalitions and networks with diverse stakeholders including nonprofits, educational institutions, government agencies, and private sector partners Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating program effectiveness using data and metrics Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present complex information to executive leadership Travel availability of up to 30% annually for relationship management and industry engagement Enthusiasm to contribute to the Charles Koch Foundation's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
