**Job Summary**
Xumo is seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Sr. Product Manager to join our growing Product and Technology team and lead the evolution of Xumo’s backend systems and data infrastructure. The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for multiple facets of the product lifecycle, acting as a Product Owner and overseeing process, implementation, and delivery of new product launches and existing platform enhancements for Xumo’s Platform Infrastructure and Data Services. This role will own the product lifecycle for critical platform components including metadata management, content ingestion pipelines, B2B integrations, and server infrastructure stability. You will drive roadmap planning, define scalable content models, and ensure seamless data import/export capabilities across our enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, resourceful, and able to both build consensus and operate independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. This person has worked with content pipelines and delivered platform capabilities in a high-throughput environment, balanced competing priorities, and advocated for internal stakeholders with the same level of importance as the end user and external partners. **Job Description**
**Core Responsibilities**
+ Own the product/business strategy and execution for Metadata Management development and maintenance within Xumo’s microservices framework supported by backend engineering. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Content Model Definition & Oversight: Architect and maintain robust content metadata models that support diverse content types and partner requirements.
+ Content Ingestion Pipeline: Lead the development and optimization of ingestion workflows, ensuring high-throughput and accurate metadata processing.
+ Data Import & Export Ownership: Manage APIs and feed-based systems for ingesting and distributing metadata, ratings, and other content-related data.
+ Backend Product Management & Roadmap Planning (Play & Enterprise): Own and evolve backend services supporting playback and enterprise workflows, ensuring scalability and reliability. Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to define and prioritize backend infrastructure initiatives.
+ B2B Integrations: Drive integration strategies with external data providers (e.g., Gracenote, Rotten Tomatoes), ensuring seamless interoperability and data fidelity.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams to build and enhance development efforts in progress and upcoming within Platform Infrastructure and Data Services.
+ Performs competitive analysis and conducts market research. Maintains updated view of key competitive changes.
+ Participates in the strategic planning for enhancements to product content and features.
+ Participates in defining product business and functional requirements.
+ Contributes to the product vision across team and the organization.
+ Exceptional organization skills will be necessary as this role will closely liaise with Project Management Office
+ Use data and analytics to inform product decisions and continuously improve content discovery and engagement across the Xumo service
+ Communicate product updates and progress to key stakeholders, including senior leadership, and solicit feedback to continually improve our products
+ Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
+ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Position is office based in Irvine, CA- 4 days a week in office/1 day remote.**
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in technology related fields, such as Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline with a focus on digital media or software product management.
+ Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Product Management
+ Minimum of five (5) years of planning, designing, developing, and delivering consumer software experiences
+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience in media content delivery in Television/Broadcast, Streaming, or related field
+ Excellent communication skills with ability to drive and lead meetings around business systems and/or related topics as well as efficiently and effectively communicate with cross functional partners from highly technical to business oriented
+ Analytical mind & strong problem-solving capabilities with experience launching/scaling products and features to solve complex challenges
+ Ability to drive consensus and alignment on product priority objectives across engineering and stakeholders
+ Ability to effectively prioritize daily tasks, as well as product requirements for engineering
+ Experience managing a product backlog with multiple competing interests
+ Operate well in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge, drill into business data and research results to identify clear direction and focus.
+ Experience with Agile development & methodology
**Preferred** **Qualifications**
+ Experience in FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television), CTV (Connected TV), or other OTT streaming media products & services
+ Experience interfacing with TV or streaming media products & services
+ Experience with Metadata Management Systems
+ Experience working with content metadata, content types, and content management and/or asset management systems
+ Experience working with engineering teams within a microservices architecture environment
+ Proficiency with relational databases, performing SQL queries, and other querying tools
+ Proficiency with Jira or similar product management tools

**Salary:**
Primary Location Pay Range: $136,900.12 - $205,350.18
