Sr. Product Manager

Location: Burlington, NC

This hybrid position offers a balanced schedule of a minimum of three in-office days at an assigned location to be in Burlington, NC, supporting both collaboration and flexibility

Senior Product Manager  

Manage Protedyne product development and communicate product specifications and product changes externally and internally.  Represent the voice of corporate stakeholders internally.  Represent the face of Protedyne externally.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Evaluate corporate laboratory processes to identify opportunities for improvement through automation.Participate in automation project definition, justification and corporate approval.Work with corporate stakeholders to define equipment specifications.Work with Protedyne technical  teams to evaluate automation solutions, ensuring conformance to specifications, high standards of quality, and positive  user experience.Manage stakeholder expectations during product development, beta testing and production deployment.Serve as a conduit of communication to and from corporate stakeholders in Protedyne’s  issue management process.Represent the “voice of the customer” in Protedyne’s demand management process, ensuring timely and appropriate continuous product improvement.Work with corporate stakeholders to evaluate and promote third-party automation.Stay current with advancements in clinical diagnostic automation.Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Educational Requirements: 

Minimum of a BS degree in a scientific discipline, preferably in the Life Sciences, or equivalent experience Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in product development. Demonstrated skills in handling a variety of customer situations including product demonstrations and presentations to large groups. Familiarity with laboratory automation hardware and software and its application in clinical diagnostics. Willingness to travel up to 30% including some overnight travel.
