Footlocker Inc is currently recruiting an experienced Product Manager who will be responsible for defining and executing merchandising, planning, allocation tech initiatives and other advanced analytics capabilities.

 

This critical role will own the strategic vision, development, and execution of solutions that optimize the return on inventory investments while enhancing the systems, data and analytics that drive growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep expertise in product management, a strong technical foundation, and a track record of leading cross-functional teams in delivering impactful solutions for complex retail ecosystems.  This leader collaborates with business partners and subject-matter experts to solve complex problems and drive successful outcomes.

 

The role collaborates with their pod and relevant stakeholders to translate the product vision and mission into a roadmap that drives objective key results while considering organizational milestones, capacity constraints, and dependencies. The candidate will also be expected to build and manage strategic partnerships with other teams in the organization to drive overall delivery effectiveness.

Responsibilities Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a forward-thinking product strategy and vision for inventory optimization and other advanced data and/ or analytics initiatives. Ensure products align with Foot Locker’s business objectives, goals for data governance, omni-channel excellence, and customer experience.Lead Agile Pods: Support agile methodologies, focusing on delivery and value creation against aligned objectives and key results (OKRs). Partner with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into measurable outcomes.Roadmap Development: Create and manage a comprehensive product roadmap that outlines prioritized features, enhancements, and innovates.Product Development: Lead end-to-end product development processes from concept to launch ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery of advanced data products. Establish robust frameworks for data governance, accuracy, and standardization to support enterprise decision-making and operational efficiency.Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on product goals and roadmap priorities. Collaborate closely with engineering, design, merchandising and other departments to develop innovative solutions that meet technical and business requirements..Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, assess the competitive landscape, and uncover customer needs that can be best impacted by the technology or tech strategyCustomer Insights: Deeply understand internal and external customer behaviors, preferences, and pain points through user research, data analysis, and direct interactions and translate insights into actionable product improvements.Performance Metrics: Define and track objectives and key results (OKRs) for the domain. Regularly assess product performance and iterate on strategies to drive growth and impact. Continuously evaluate the product roadmap to ensure delivery of measurable business value.Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product updates, progress and insights to executive leadership, stakeholders, and relevant teams within the organization. Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years leading enterprise level MDO (markdown optimization / pricing and promotion) or advanced data and analytics product delivery.Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of merchandising / buying, inventory management, planning & allocation, predictive analytics, demand forecasting, or similar domains. Familiarity with retail, ecommerce and merchandising industry trends and best practices is highly preferred.Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically, define product strategies, and translate business needs into technical requirements that drive business outcomes.Leadership Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and inspire others to achieve product goals. Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing prioritiesCommunication: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions.Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and build strong working relationships across the organization. Act as the primary advocate for inventory optimization capabilities within the organization, ensuring alignment and buy-in from all key stakeholders.Results-Driven: A track record of delivering successful product launches and achieving measurable results.Education: Bachelor's degree required; an MBA or Master's degree is a plus.

Technical Expertise:

Familiarity with leading inventory optimization and retail advanced analytics platformsWorking knowledge of API integrations, data governance, and advanced data modeling techniquesUnderstanding of retail merchandising processes, including assortment planning, pricing, and allocation

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $133000 - $170000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
