Sr. Product and Material Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Senior Product Development Manager is responsible for overseeing all development for men’s and women’s global product. This includes leading style development, production, and ensuring timely execution through effective communication with vendors. Additionally, the Sr. Product Development Manager keeps abreast of market trends, team goals, new technologies and consumer needs throughout the development process. The Senior Product Development Manager will collaborate closely with other managers in Design, Costing, Technical Design, Materials, and Product Merchandising teams to ensure all developments meet technical requirements, costing, quality standards, and are approved for production by PO issue date.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Manage factory development timelines in partnership with Global Development Teams; proactively callout challenges.Build strong factory partnership relationships, understand strengths and opportunities by vendor.Responsible for coordinating the various stages involved in the planning, development and launch of new product Seasonal Assortments.Manage onboarding of new factories, specifically in the Central/South America Region.Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Ensure Supplier meets Skechers quality standards and development timelines.Update and maintain weekly agendas for meetings.Manage and lead the commercialization process from start to finish; ensure accurate and timely information for the Central/South America Region.Approve Intertek inspection requests for final inspection by providing CM forms.Review weekly WOOS from Vendors.Work with the Product Development Team to ensure files and tech packs in Flex PLM have accurate information for vendors.Participate and lead information sharing in all CFT meetings.Provide leadership and mentorship to the product development team.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.Develop and implement performance management processes.Strong understanding of Apparel Development lifecycle, end-to-end.Strong ability to identify potential future risk and proactively problem solve.Own the materials development handoff process, confirming readiness and alignment before styles move into production.Provide support to the team in building buy readiness by identifying styles that are not ready for bulk production and highlighting associated risks.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree.Minimum 10+ Years experience in the Apparel Industry.

The pay range for this position is $105,000-$115,000/yr USD.
