Sr. Procurement Specialist

Our client is seeking a Sr. Procurement Specialist to support a very large financial firm and their non-capital construction projects primarily. All work will be based out New York City. Responsibilities included below:
• Review project requirements and draft/review/finalize procurement strategy memos
• Prepare and issue Requests for Information / Requests for Qualification / Requests for Proposal in client's Project Management Information System
• Follow up with, and respond to vendors prior to releasing the RFP, during the bid period, and after bid submission, to answer any questions up to the award
• Level and analyze bids based on completeness, competitiveness, compliance, adherence to quality expectations, cost, schedule, ESG, diversity, etc.
• Be knowledgeable of industry trends to determine appropriate pricing
• Prepare and issue analysis report and recommendation
• Engage with General Contractors, Architects, Engineers and FF&E vendors to execute the work strategy
• Participate in successful and unsuccessful bidder calls
• Participate in negotiation and evaluation of contracts
• Prepare purchase orders, letter agreements, and contracts for all appointments (consultants / contractors / etc.), including any reviews with client's legal counsel
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors
• Conduct market research to identify new vendors and evaluate their capabilities
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and budgets
• Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for procurement processes
