Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Sr. Principal Engineer-Data to engage in technical leadership within Lilly Research Labs. Ensure technical designs align with architecture guidance and adhering to data platform standards and ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the organization. Design and implement scalable data architectures to support complex tech and business needs and requirements. Guide the team in the impact analysis to translate and implement technical design (configuration/development and data integration). Enhance the performance and efficiency of data pipelines, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions for seamless data and information flow. Manage sophisticated data engineering projects effectively, ensuring timely delivery and alignment to industry-specific regulations. Exhibit strong communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate with a variety of partners. Understand emerging technology trends and disruptions and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models. Grow and maintain knowledge of advanced technology and analytics trends within the organization and across the industry externally.
**What You Should Bring**
+ AWS Solution Architect Certification
+ Azure Fabric experience
+ Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience highly valued
+ Experience developing architecture blueprints and roadmaps
+ Experience collaborating with business team members and portfolio architects to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements
**Basic Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field
+ 5 + years of progressively responsible experience with software development life cycle, spanning the lifecycle from project initiation to deployment, support, and retirement.
+ Experience architecting, designing, providing solution for data intensive applications in a hybrid cloud environment, leveraging and not limited to, the following technologies
+ AWS Cloud Services under Compute, Storage, Database, Database Migration, Orchestration, Analytics, Infrastructure, etc.
+ Big Data Technologies such as spark, pyspark for near-real time data processing
+ Expertise in one or more programming languages like Python, NodeJS, etc.
+ Required experience with Microservice system design, cloud performance design, cloud hosting and DevOps
+ Expertise with data ingestion, data products, consumption enablement, analytics and AI/ML solutions.
+ Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Github
+ Experience developing architecture blueprints and roadmaps

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$63,750 - $180,400
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
