At Progress Rail, the team is not just building the future of rail—they are making history every day.** **Education / Training:** **Required:** **• Three to five years minimum experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics.** **Desired:** **• College degree related to Business, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering.** **Job Title:** **Sr. Planner Supervisor** **City:** **Winston Salem** **Key Job Elements:** **• Provide an executable build schedule to the machining and assembly lines;** **• Report out on facility production and shipping performance;** **• Lead a small team of production schedulers to manage specific value stream schedules;** **• Creates the Master Production Schedule for the assembly lines with input from a cross-functional team;** **• Work with external senior leadership on MPS approval process;** **• Communicate with internal leadership on upcoming changes to MPS;** **• Assist with setting production and sales targets for the facility on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis;** **• Work with customers to align demand signals and minimize production interruption;** **• Provide demand forecasts for planning;** **• Supervise department staff;** **• Utilize data and data mining skills to perform extensive analyses of qualitative and quantitative nature;** **• Work with personnel from other Supply Chain functions, 3rd party providers and facility divisions to drive supply chain improvements.** **Qualifications and Experience:** **Required:** **• High level understanding of ERP systems and MS Office products, strong computer skills;** **• Experience with lean and flow manufacturing techniques.
