The Sr. Manager, Manufacturing (MFG) and Supply Chain (SCM) Solutions will wear multiple hats within the SAP Analytics Enablement Team. They primarily will be subject matter experts and will be expected to have deep knowledge of SAP Manufacturing & Supply Chain processes and how these areas are modeled in SAP BW. They will be expected to have a strong BW background with an understanding of the underlying data structures that supports these processes, and the experience of translating those data structures into data models for analytic purposes.
This role will play a major role in bridging deep SAP data expertise with Pfizer’s business processes to drive impactful, data-informed solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to provide L3 SME support to our SAP Analytics Enablement DevOps team, serve as a Data Architect or Lead engineer on a major program / project, as well as collaborate with our business and digital partners on an as needed basis.
The candidate will understand SAP Data governance and will be expected to execute on the data strategy of the SAE Team. They will also be responsible for ensuring our SAP MFG and SCM data and analytical products are governed, findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable, ensuring that we unleash the true potential of our vibrant SAP data landscape at Pfizer
This role will also be an important partner in the massive upgrade of our SAP BW platform, which aligns strategically and is at the same scale as our recent upgrade to SAP S4. Ensuring that our data architecture integrity remains intact during the transition.
Role ResponsibilitiesData & Analytics
Serve as the MFG and SCM data SME, being the main point of contact for the businesses you serve, providing thought leadership and solution recommendations that drive them forward
Execute on the SAP Analytics Enablement data strategy ensuring work being conducted aligns with digital and business objectives
Be stewards of our data products ensuring data accuracy, quality, freshness, discoverable and meets compliance, security and governance standards
Understand Pfizer’s SAP data landscape from a functional, analytic perspective
Help to ensure data principles and best practices are leveraged consistently across all deployed solutions of the SAE team
Be abreast of industry data standards, governance frameworks that support scalable AI, analytics and reporting solutions
Solution Delivery
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during projects and major programs, acting as a data modeler/architect for MFG and SCM data solutions.
Provide required data analysis to ensure requirements are understood and that proposed solutions are satisfying business requirements
Provide hands-on development support in SAP BW when necessary.
Lead a team of developers to ensuring completeness quality of delivered solution
Provide data lead sign off on technical data solutions that has been developed. Ensuring said solution has been design, developed, tested and have been deployed as per specification and matching the quality standards of the team
Communication & Collaboration
Contribute to our communication strategy leveraging our comms methods to ensure our businesses and digital partners are informed about and know how to access our products and services
Participate in required demos and trainings that help our business and digital partners to better utilize our products and services
Escalate any impactful issues to the proper decision maker or Data Solutions Team Lead
Basic QualificationsBachelor's in Information Systems, Data Management, Business, or a related field.
6+ Years of proven experience (5+ years with Master’s degree) in building and architecting MFG and SCM data models, ETL pipelines, and data orchestration in SAP BW
Proven experience in SAP front end design & development (BOBJ, SAC, Fiori)
Demonstrated deep expertise in SAP modules related to MFG and SCM
Demonstrated experience working on enterprise projects and programs in a Data SME, Data Architect or Tech Team lead capacity
Strong understanding of SAP data structures in S4 and SAP BI
Strong overall understanding of SAPBI and BW4HANA
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making
Exceptional verbal, written communication, and organizational skills, along with interpersonal skills that allow for collaboration across a diverse group of people
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrated success in executing on an organizational data strategy
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree preferred
Understanding of Datasphere (including SAP Business Data Cloud) and SAP BTP platforms are preferred but not required
Understanding of SAP data governance frameworks and processes are highly preferred but not required
Understanding of modeling data for AI/ML purposes, leveraging knowledge graphs etc. are preferred but not required
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Possible night and weekend work during project/program deployments.
Ability to travel up to 10% of time as required
